ALLCORN, CLARENCE E.- Born December 25, 1896. Son of David and Louise Allcorn, East Palestine, Ohio. Entered service September 3, 1918. Assigned to Camp Forest; transferred to Camps Stewart, Hill and Lee. Honorably discharged from service December 11, 1918.

AMES, C.E. Born March 7, 1897 son of W. H. and Anna Ames.

ANDREW JOHN L.-Born November 21, 1890. Nephew of Joseph Fraser, Freedom, Pa. Entered service May 25, 1918. Assigned to Camp Greenleaf and transferred to Newport News. Attached to Newport News. Attached to the Quartermaster Corps. Embarked for overseas September 10, 1918. Returned to the United States July 7, 1919, and was honorably discharged on July 16.

BAKER, PAUL FRANKLIN Born September 24, 1897. Son of Mr. And Mrs. O.A. Baker, Freedom, Pa. Enter the service December 5, 1917 and was assigned to the Newport Naval Training Station. Ranked as Electrician, Second Class. Honorably discharged from service August 4, 1919.

BAKER, W.F. Born December 5, 1896. Son of W.H. and Hedwig Baker, Freedom, Pa.

BEATTY, WILLIAM J. Born on March 18, 1898. Son of Minnie G. Beatty. Entered the service May 2, 1918. Assigned to Paris Island, S. C. and attached to the Marine Corps. Was stationed on vessel that took President Wilson’s party overseas, Honorably discharged from service September 26, 1919

BETZ, FRANK H. Born December 23, 1893. Son of L. W. and Margaret Betz, Freedom, Pa. Entered the service September 8, 1917 and was assigned to Camp Sherman. Attached to Battery C, 323rd Artillery, 83rd Division. Ranked as a Sergeant. Embarked for overseas duty June 10, 1918. Returned to the United States May 13, 1919, and was honorably discharged May 27th.

BLESSE, HARRY SMITH- Born on June 7, 1896. Son of Mary A. Blesse, Baden, Pa

BOAL, DR. GEORGE FAY Son of George Y. and Mary Emma Doyle Boal, Cooperstown, Pa. Entered the service September 28, 1917. Assigned to Camp Greenleaf, Fort Oglethorpe and Camp Mills. Ranked as Captain in Medical Department, 82nd Division. Embarked for overseas duty June 5, 1918. Returned to the United States May 5, 1919, and was honorably discharged from service May 11, 1919, at Camp Dix.

BOTT, HOMER Born July 20, 1896. Son of Frank and Lydia Bott, of Freedom, Pa. Entered the service September 21, 1917. Assigned to Gettysburg. Attached to Company H, 60th Regiment, 5th Division. Went overseas April 16, Saw service at Argonne and St. Mihiel. Honorably discharged September 25, 1919, holding the rank of Sergeant.

Attached to Battery E, 323rd Light Field Artillery 83rd Division. Went overseas June 10, 1918. Saw service at Argonne, Verdun and Grand Montagne. Was honorably discharged May 27, 1919.

CIANI, UBIDIO- Born October 14, 1892. Son of Mrs. Lucille Ciani, of Italy. Entered the service August 20, 1917. Assigned to Gettysburg, Camp Green and Camp Merritt. Attached to Company K, 50th Infantry, 5th Division. Embarked for overseas April 9, 1918. Saw service at St. Mihiel, Loraine, Meuse-Argonne and Montague. Honorably discharged April 14, 1919.

CONNER, FRANCIS Born October 15, 1876. Son of Leroy and Stella Conner, of Freedom. Entered the service June 1, 1918. Assigned to Camp Jackson. Attached to Base Hospital No. 4. December 3, 1919, still in service.

COOPER, DAVID M Born on August 21, 1896. Son of David and Sarah Cooper, of Freedom, Pa.

DAVIS, GAIL W. Born September 21, 1895. Son of Charles Davis of Freedom, Pa. Entered service on May 25, 1918. Assigned to Camp Gordan. Attached to Bakers and Cooks School. Honorably discharged March 31, 1919

DUNLAP, LAIRD J.- Born January 21, 1894. Son of Joseph and Elizabeth Dunlap of Freedom, Pa.

FARLS, JAMES V.- Born September 3, 1897. Son of Samuel and Jennie Farls, of Freedom, Pa. Entered the United States Navy May 1918. Assigned to Wissihicken Barracks. One one of the U. S. S. and was overseas a short time. Was honorably discharged in January, 1919.

FORBEAN, JOSEPH J.- Born May 5, 1888. Son of John and Anna Forbean, of Freedom, Pa.

FRASER, JAMES A. Born December 30, 1888. Son of Joseph and Mary Fraser, of Freedom, Pa. Entered the service September 19, 1917. Assigned to Camps Sherman and Mills. Attached to Battery E, Light Field Artillery. Went overseas June 10, 1818. Saw service at Argonne, St. Mihiel and Verdun. Honorably discharged May 27, 1919.

FRUTH, EDWARD L. Born April 28, 1896. Son of Edward and Lydia Fruth of Freedom, Pa. Entered service December 13, 1917. Assigned to Camps Sherman and Mills. Attached to Battery C, 323rd Light Field Artillery, 32nd Division. Went overseas June 10, 1918. Saw service at Meuse-Argonne. Honorably discharged May, 1919.

JOLLEY, CHARLES H.- born May 26, 1896. Son of John and Mary Jolley, of Freedom, Pa. Entered service September 19, 1917. Assigned to Camps Sherman and Mills. Attached to Battery E, 323rd Light Artillery. Went overseas June 10, 1918. Saw service at St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Honorably discharged May 28, 1919.

KREPPS, CHARLES T. Born June 12, 1897. Son of Charles and Cora Krepps, of Freedom, Pa. Entered service September 28, 1918. Assigned to Camps Greenleaf Sevier and Upton. Attached to Base Hospital No. 110. Went overseas November 12, 1918. Returned July, 1919, and was honorably discharged later.

KUPPINGER, WILLIAM K.-Born April 6, 1892. Entered the service December 13, 1917. Assigned to Camps Sherman and Mills. Attached to Battery C, 323rd Light Field Artillery, 83rd Division. Went overseas June 10, 1918. Participated in battles at St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne and Verdun. Honorably discharged May 28, 1919.

McCANN, CHARLES LEO- Born 12, 1897. Son of James and Bridget, McCann, of Conway, Pa. Entered service April 2, 1918. Assigned to Camp Lee. Attached to 319th Infantry, Machine Gun Service, 80th Division. Went overseas May 17, 1918. Saw service at St. Mihiel, Artois and Wantillois. Slightly wounded in head. Honorably discharged June 13, 1919 holding the rank of Corporal .

McCANN, PATRICK- Born June 4, 1890. Son of Charles McCann. Entered the service May 14, 1918. Assigned to Columbus Barracks. Attached to Company E, 55th Infantry, 7th Division. Was honorably discharged November 17, 1919.

MOHR, CARL J. son of Charles and Kathryn Mohr, of Freedom, Pa. Entered service March, 1918, in the United States Navy. Attached to the U.S.S. Rambler. Was washed off the U.S.S. Rambler and drowned April, 1919

POWELL, Daniel Howard-Born December 6, 1886. Son of Jerry and Mary Powell, of Conway. Entered the service December, 1917. Assigned to Camp Sherman. Attached to Supply Company, Light Field Artillery, 83rd Division. Left for overseas May, 1918. Returned June, 1919. Honorably discharged June, 1919, with rank of Wagoner.

NUDI, GUESSEPPE Born November 3, 1887. Son of Tony Nudi, of Freedom, Pa, Entered service May 25, 1918. Assigned to Camp Greenleaf. Attached to Medical Corps. Honorably discharged April 24, 1919.

ROBINSON ROY D. Born November 9, 1898. Son of W. H. and Cynthia Robinson, of Freedom. Entered service June 26, 1916. Assigned to Camp Hancock. Attached to Company B, 110th Infantry, 28th Division. Saw active service at Marne, Chateau Thierry and the Meuse-Argonne. Wounded. Ranked as Sergeant. Honorably discharged March 8, 1919

ROBINSON, WILLIAM H Born on September 18, 1891. Son of W. H. and Cynthia Robinson, of Freedom. Entered the service April 3, 1917. Assigned to Long Island. Attached to supply Company, 166th Infantry, 42nd Division. Embarked for overseas September 13, 1917. Participated in several engagements in France. Slightly gassed. Honorably discharged May 15, 1919, with rank of Wagoner.

ROLL, ELMER E.-Son of Jacob Roll, of Freedom. Entered the service September 19, 1917. Assigned to Camp Sherman and Camp Mills. Attached to Battery E, 323rd Light Artillery, 83rd Division. Sailed for overseas June 10, 1918. Saw service at Meuse-Argonne, St. Mihiel and Verdun. Slightly gassed. Honorably discharged May 13, 1919, with rank of Corporal.

ROUSH, JOHN M.-Born August 29, 1893. Son of David and Jennie E Roush, of Cleveland, O. Entered service May 25, 1918. Assigned to Camp Greenleaf. Attached to the medical Corps. Honorably discharged January 13, 1919.

SMITH, ARCHIE L. Born August 29, 1895. Entered service September 19, 1917. Assigned to Camp Sherman, Kelly and Newport News. Attached to 320th Aero Squadron, Air Service. Left for overseas June, 1918. Returned in December, 1918, and was honorably discharged December 14, 1918, with the rank of Cook.

SPAGNOLI, GIVANNI Born July 15, 1893. Son of Pasquali and Anna Spagnoli, of Italy. Entered the service October 3, 1917. Assigned to Camps Sherman and Mills. Attached to Supply Company, 323rd Light Field Artillery, 83rd Division. Went overseas June 10, 1918. Saw service at Argonne, Grande Montagne. Honorably discharged May 27, 1919

TOLBERT FAY E.- Born April 17, 1897. Son of J.E. and Elizabeth Tolbert , Freedom, Pa. Entered service May 25, 1918. Assigned to Camp Greenleaf. Attached to Base Hospitial No. 55, Medical Corps. Went overseas August 30, 1918. Saw service at St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Honorably discharged June 13, 1919

WALKER, JOHN F. Born May 1897. Son of Peter and Ida Walker of Freedom. Entered service September 27, 1917. Assigned Company I, 60th Infantry, 5th Division. Sailed for overseas April 16, 1918. Saw service at St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Rank as a Corporal. Honorably discharged September 25, 1919.

WALKER LOUIS-Born July 7, 1887. Son of Peter and Ida Walker of Freedom. Entered service on September 19, 1917. Assigned to Camp Sherman. Attached to Battery E, 323rd Light Artillery, 83rd Division. Embarked for overseas June 10, 1918. Saw service at Meuse- Argonne and Grand Montague. Honorably discharged May 27, 1919

WHITEHOUSE, ROY Born May 10, 1897. Son of David and Elizabeth Whitehouse of Freedom.

ZINKHAM, RALPH E. Born January 23, 1896. Son of Mrs. Clara Zinkham, of Freedom. Died from the effects of wounds received in battle of Chateau Thierry. Buried in American cemetery at Paris, France.
