TOMBSTONE INSCRIPTIONS, ST. DANIEL’S (CORNER) CHURCH,
BERKS COUNTY, PA.

By Michael Alvin Gruber, A. M., Washington, D. C.

Inscriptions from tombstone of persons born prior to the year 1776 and buried in the old graveyard adjoining St. Daniel’s (Corner) Church, or the Lutheran congregation in Heidelberg Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, located about a mile northward of the borough of Robesonia, Pa., which is on the Penn Highway, formerly the Berks and Dauphin Turnpike, and 12 miles west of Reading, Pa.
This congregation was founded about 1749, the corner-stone of the first church building having been laid in 1751.
