Dulls At Somerset for Reunion; Will be Here Next Year

One of the most successful reunions of the Dull family was held at Edgewood Park, Somerset, on Sunday, August 9. About 250 relatives and friends of the Dull clan gathered at the park. After a sumptuous dinner, served in the large dining hall, where the tables were decorated with unusually beautiful bouquets furnished by the women of the Somerset clan, the afternoon was spent in visiting and renewing old acquaintances.

The program was opened by singing “America” and prayer by Herbert Dull of Hooversville. Dull\’s Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. J. Harold Dull and composed of John Kiferle, Warren Halbritter, Paul Carson and Harry Dull, furnished delightful music during the afternoon, as well as music for the community singing and soloists. The Dull sisters of Somerset rendered several numbers which were well received. A male octet composed of business and professional men of Somerset, under the direction of Miss Margaret Hay of Rockwood, sang several old favorite songs. Addresses were made by W. Guy Critchfield and Dr. Herbert Dull of Somerset, S. B. Dull, president of the organization, of Connellsville, and George Dull Colborn of Chicago, son of Dr. A. J. Colborn of Connellsville. It being Sunday, the sports program was omitted. However, everyone present had an enjoyable time.

The oldest person present was Walter Dull of Connellsville, who does not look or act his 78 years.

The business session was of short duration, as the officers, who include S. B. Dull, President; Dr. A. J. Colborn, Secretary; and Grant Dull, Treasurer, had been previously elected for life. It was decided to hold all future reunions on the first Sunday of August alternately, one year at Somerset and the following year at Connellsville. The next reunion will be held at Connellsville on the first Sunday of August, 1932.
