J. BEHNEY, daughter of the late Jacob KOHR and his wife Sophia, nee KLINGER,
was born Feb. 28, 1881, Bethel, Pa., and was baptized by Rev. D.D. Trexler. 
She was confirmed in Salem Church by the Rev. D.D. Trexler.  She was united in
marriage to Harry B. BEHNEY.  She died Mar. 23, 1927, aged 46 years and 25
days. She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, 5 sisters, 5 brothers, and
her mother.  The funeral was held Mar. 26, 1927 at Lebanon.  Interment in Mt.
Lebanon cemetery.  Text, Isa. 66:13.

Mrs. Emma
Jane SHOLLENBERGER, daughter of the late David SCHRACK and wife Sarah, nee
SCHAEFFER, was born July 12, 1863 in Jefferson Twp., Berks Co., and was
baptized Nov. 4, 1863 by Rev. L.G. Eggers.  She was confirmed May 31, 1879 by
Rev. A.J. Long in Altalaha Church.  She was married Jan. 30, 1886 to Clayton C.
SHOLLENBERGER by Rev. Stambaugh.  She died March 29, 1927 at Rehrersburg, aged
63 years, 8 months, 17 days.  She is survived by her husband, 2 daughters, 3
sons, and 9 grandchildren.  The funeral was held April 2, 1927 in Trinity Church,
Rehrersburg.  Text, John 16:16.

Jacob
Walter HENNE, son of the late Moses HENNE and wife, nee FRICK [no first name
given], was born Feb. 11, 1868 Upper Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., and was
baptized May 30, 1868 by Rev. Finfrock.  He was confirmed April 25, 181885 Zion
Church by Rev. Finfrock.  He married Rebecca SCHAEFFER on May 12, 1894 by Rev.
W.W. Kramlich.  He died April 19, 1927, aged 59 years, 2 months and 8 days.  He
is survived by his widow and 6 sisters.  The funeral took place Apr. 23, 1927
in Zion Church.  Text, I Cor. 15:55-57.

Mrs. Emma
R. WAGNER, daughter of the late Isaac LENGEL and wife Mary [nee?] MOYER, was
born Sept. 14, 1843, Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., and was baptized Nov. 13,
1843, by Rev. Mennig. She was confirmed in Blue Mt. Church.  She was married
June 11, 1898 to Frank H. WAGNER by Rev. D.D. Trexler.  She died May 22, 1927,
aged 83 years, 8 months and 8 days.  She has no survivors.  Her burial took
place Mar. 26, 1927 in Zion Church.  Text, I Jno. 3:14.

Mrs. Sarah
Ann Kate MILLER, daughter of Daniel K. BATTEICHER and wife Rebecca, nee
STRAUSS, was born Aug. 3, 1863, Upper Bern Twp., and was baptized Nov. 1, 1863
by Rev. Zehring.  She was confirmed Apr. 19, 1879 in Zion Church, by Rev.
Finfrock, and married John E. MILLER, July 29, 1882, by Rev. Finfrock.  She
died July 14, 1927, aged 63 years, 11 months, 11 days.  She was survived by her
husband, 3 daughters, 1 son, 19 grand-children, 1 brother and 2 sisters.  She
was buried July 19, 1927 at Zion Church.  Text, Rev. 2:10.

Daniel B.
HOLLENBACH, son of the late Henry HOLLENBACH and wife Rebecca, nee BECKER, born
Sept. 27, 1850, Bern Twp., Berks Co., was baptized Nov. 17, 1850 by Rev.
Smith.  He was confirmed Mar. 28, 1868 in St. Michael’s Church by Rev. B.D.
Zweizig.  He died July 16, 1927, aged 76 years, 9 months, and 19 days.  He was
survived by 2 sons, 7 grand-children, 3 brothers, 3 sisters.  The funeral was
held July 21, at Zion Church.  Text, Jno. 16:33.

Mrs. Maria
WERTMAN, daughter of the late William PINGEL and wife Maria [no maiden name
given], born Feb. 4, 1855 in Defiance, Ohio, was baptized in infancy.  She was
confirmed May 16, 1869 in Defiance Lutheran Church by Rev. Setzer.  She was
united in marrige Aug. 26, 1874 to Elias WERTMAN by Rev. Slagel.  She departed
this life Aug. 22, 1927, aged 72 years, 6 months, and 18 days.  She is survived
by 3 sons, 2 daughters, 6 grand-children, 1 brother, 1 sister.  The funeral was
held Aug. 23, 1927, in Zion Church where interment was made.  Text, Rom. 8:18.

James K.
FILBERT, son of the late Gabriel FILBERT and wife Elizabeth, nee KINTZER, born
Feb. 12, 1841, Tulpehocken Twp., was baptized in infancy.  He was confirmed
April 16, 1859 in Zion Church, Womelsdorf, by Rev. F.G. Eggers.  He was married
to Selisa GOODMAN October 19, 1868 by Revs. Zweizig and Schwartz.  He died Oct.
29, 1927, aged 85 years, 8 months, and 17 days.  He is survived by a daughter,
Mrs. Geo. W. FILBERT, Strausstown.  The funeral took place Nov. 3, services in
the home and interment in Zion Church cemetery.  Text, Psalms 39:8.

Adam Henry
REBER, son of Jeremiah REBER and wife Ellamina, nee WAGNER, born Mar. 6, 1865,
U. Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., was baptized June 4, 1865 by Rev. Grim. 
Married July 4, 1903 to Amelia S. RENTSCHLER by Rev. Pfleuger.  He died Sept.
25, 1927 near Shartlesville.  He is survived by his widow and one daughter. He
was baptized [?] in Sept. with services in Zion Church, interment in the
adjoining grave-yard. [no text given]

Daniel
BORKEY son of Benjamin BORKEY and his wife Maria, nee SEAMAN, born in Center
Twp., Berks Co., on Feb. 18, 1857.  He was baptized in infancy.  He died in
Strausstown, Pa., Nov. 4, 1927, aged 70 years, 8 months, and 17 days.  He is
survived by his wife [not mentioned], 1 sister, Mrs. Adam STRAUSS, and 1
brother, Emanuel, both of Strausstown.  His funeral took place Nov. 8, 1927 in
Zion Church, where interment was made.  Text, ps. 23:1.

Samuel
BERTOLET was born Oct. 31, 1866 near Oley, Mongomery Co., Pa.  He was united to
Miss ZELLER, of Bethel Twp., Berks Co., about twenty years ago.  He died
Friday, Nov. 25, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pa., aged 59 years, and 25 days.  He is
survived by his wife, 1 brother, and 1 sister.  The funeral was held Nov. 29. 
Service in Salem Church, Bethel, Pa., and burial in the adjoining grave-yard..

James BATZ,
son of George BATZ and wife Sarah, nee REPPERT, born July 11, 1848, Bethel
Twp., Berks So., was baptized Dec. 23, 1848, by Rev. Frie.  He was confirmed
May 2, 1858, in Salem Church, Bethel by Rev. Thomas Sieck.  He was married to
Isabella Rebecca FREEMAN, Mar. 1, 1873, by Rev. F. H. Swartz.  He died
Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1928, aged 79 years, 6 months.  He is survived by his wife,
1 son, 1 daughter, 1 brother, 4 grand-children, and 2 great-grand-children. 
The funeral was held Jan. 16, in Salem Church and burial in the adjoining
cemetery.  Text, Ex. 33:14.

Miss Kitty
Ann HENNE, daughter of Moses HENNE and wife Leah, nee FEICK, born Feb. 10,
1855, Strausstown, Pa., was baptized Apr. 12, 1855 by Rev. Dietzler.  She was
confirmed Apr., 1877 in Zion Church by Rev. Aaron Finfrock.  She departed this
life Friday, Jan. 27, 1928 in Strausstown, aged 72 years, 11 months, and 17
days.  She is survived by 5 sisters.  The funeral took place Feb. 1, with services
in Zion Church and burial in the adjoining cemetery.  Text, Rev. 14:13.

Emanuel
BORKEY, son of Benjamin BORKEY and wife Mary, nee SEAMAN, born in Upper Berne
[typo] Twp., Apr. 26, 1858, was baptized Aug. 1, 1858.  He was united in
marriage to Sallie RENO.  He died Monday, Feb. 6, 1928, aged 69 years, 9
months, and 10 days.  His survivors are 3 children, 1 sisters[ typo], and 2
grand-children.  His funeral was held Feb. 10, services in Zion Church, and
interment in that cemetery.  Text, I Cor. 13:12b.

Frank S.
SAVAGE, son of the late John SAVAGE and wife Nellie, nee SCHLAPPICH, born Nov.
13, 1847, Upper Bern Twp., was baptized Jan. 16, 1848 by Rev. jSchmidt.  He was
confirmed in St. Michael’s Chruch in 1865 by Rev. Thos. Jaeger.  He was married
to Emma E. KUTZ.  He died Monday, Feb. 6, 1928, in Shartlesville, aged 80
years, 2 months and 23 days.   His survivors are 1 son, and 1 grand-child.  He
was buried Feb. 11, services in FriedenÂ’s Chruch and interment in the cemetery
at the church.  Text, John 11:25a.

Mrs.
Rebecca, wife of Adam MERKEY and daughter of John B. DECK and wife Martha
[nee?] ROYER, born Jan. 28, 1856, in Bethel, Berks Co., was baptized Feb. 11,
1856 by Rev. Thos. Leinbach.  She was confirmed in Salem Church Mar. 28, 1872
by Rev. D.D. Trexler.  She was married to Adam MERKEY Feb. 13, 1875 by Rev.
D.D. Trexler.  She died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1928, Bethel, Pa., aged 72 years, and
23 days.  This union was blessed with 7 children, 5 still live; 3 daughters,
and 2 sons, also 8 grand-children, and 2 great-grand-children also 2 sisters. 
The funeral was held Feb. 26, services in the home and Salem Church, interment
in the cemetery adjoining.  Text, John 14:2c.
