Pine Furnace Methodist Church Cemetery

The Pine Furnace Methodist Evangelical Church cemetery is located in Valley
Township, Armstrong Co., PA. The church was first organized in1846 with
services held in a house located 1000 feet to the northeast of the cemetery.
On July 22, 1873, George Bossinger conveyed an acre from his farm to the
Trustees of the Pine Creek Methodist Episcopal Church for $1. A frame church
was erected on the site and a cemetery established to the rear. Although the
church was razed in about 1920, the cemetery is well maintained It is situated
along Pine Furnace Road, about 1 mile east of Route 66 and about 6 miles
