Tulpehocken Twp., and was baptized Sept. 14, 1915.

Wayne, a son of Milton S. POTTEIGER and his
wife Mary R., nee RENSCHLER, was born Sept. 29, 1915 at Strausstown, and was
baptized Oct. 23, 1915.

Leah Atherton, a daughter of Earl H. KEENER
and his wife Nellie E., nee HUNT, was born Feb. 8, 1915, at Altoona, Pa., and
was baptized Oct. 23, 1915.

Anna BATTEIGER, a daughter of Margaret
BATTEIGER, was born Sept. 18, 1915, at Strausstown, and was baptized Oct. 31,
1915.

Pauline Alberta, a daughter of John MOYER and
his wife Sallie, nee SCHARFF, was born Sept. 26, 1915, in Upper Tulpehocken
Twp., and was baptized Nov. 28, 1915.

Royce Aaron, a son of Lloyd G. HAAG and his
wife Ada C., nee ANDERSON, was born August 29, 1915, in Marion Twp., and was
baptized Oct. 24, 1915.

Mabel Esther, a daughter of Thomas D.
BALTHASER and jhis wife Cora, nee SEITZINGER, was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Upper
Tulpehocken Twp., and was baptized Dec. 18, 1915.

Daniel Valentine, a son of Edgar S.
RENTSCHLER and his wife Meda M., nee HERBST, was born Aug. 31, 1915, in Upper
Bern Twp., and was baptized Oct. 17, 1915.

Larue Catharine, a daughter of Charles E.
SPOTTS and his wife Katie L., nee EPTING, was born Aug. 12, 1915, at
Shartlesville, and was baptized Oct. 17, 1915.

Ella Katie, a daughter of Charles B. SPEICHER
and his wife Eva S., nee DRUPP, was born Jan. 26, 1916, in Jefferson Twp., and
was baptized Mar. 12, 1916.

Richard Riley, a son of Herbert A. DEGLER and
his wife Zula E., nee KLINE, was born Dec. 18, 1915, at Rehrersburn, and was
baptized Jan. 11, 1916.

WEDDINGS

On October 1, 1915, at the parsonage, Harvey
D. GERHARD, and Amy P. [or R], both of
Strausstown, were united in wedlock.

On Jan. 29, 1916, Prof. Ralph E. SCHOENER of
Stouchsburg and Miss May E. WEBBER, of Strausstown, were united in marriage at
the parsonage.

Harry D. MILLER, of Wintersville, and Annie
E. HOWER, of Rehrersburg, were united in holy wedlock at the parsonage, Feb.
19, 1916.

At the parsonage, on March 4, 1916, there
were united in marriage Mr. George E. BALTHASER and Miss Annie A. McALLISTER,
both of Strausstown.

FUNERALS

Rudolph GALEHOFF was born in Germany, Sept.
27, 1853, and was baptized in infancy.  He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith
in St. john’s Church, Emaus, Pa.  He entered into wedlock with Miss Emma
MILLER, July 30, 1892.  he died May 4, 1915 in Philadelphia, aged 51 years, 8
months, 7 days.  There survive his wife, mother, a brother and a sister.  The
funeral took place May 8, from the home of Squire Bricker.  Interment and
services at Frieden’s Church, Shartlesville.  Text, Philemon 15.

Miltoy Cyrus LENGEL, a son of Levi H. and
Mary, nee LESHER, was born Oct. 23, 1863, in Upper Tulpehocken Twp., was
baptized in infancy, and later on confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Ashland,
Pa.  In 1882 he married Emma BRACEY.  He died Oct. 11, 1915.  Aged 51 years, 11
months 18 days.  There survive a dauthter, father, and four brothers.  The
funeral took place on Oct. 14, 1915.  Interment and services at Zion Church,
Strausstown.  Text, Mt. 24:42.

Emma R. DERR, nee BARNETT, wa born March 11,
1875, at Rehrersburg.  She was baptized April 4, 1875, by Rev. A.J. Long, and 
confirmed by the same pastor May 16, 1891, in the Lutheran church.  She was
married to Mr. George K. DERR, May 20, 1893 by Rev. Stambaugh.  She died at
Reading, Sept. 28, 1915, aged 40 years, 6 months, 17 days.  The funeral took
place on Oct. 2, 1915, services and interment at St. Paul’s church,
Tulpehocken, Pa.  Text, IICor. 4:17-18.  She is survived by her husband and 3
daughters.

Levi WEIANT, was born Mar. 12, 1848, in
Bethel Twp., and was baptized April 26, 1848, by Rev. Gring.  He was confirmed
April 9, 1864, by Rev. Dr. Grahn.  He was married to Sarah KISSINGER, and after
her death to Isabella NOLL, April 1, 1876, by Rev. Henry.  He is survived by
his widow and daughter.  He died Oct. 25, 1915, aged 67 years, 7 months, 13
days.  The funeral was held on Oct. 30, interment and services at Salem church,
Bethel, Pa.  Text, Rom. 6:8.

John S. WAGNER, born Sept. 5, 1843, was
baptized Nov. 12 of the same year, by Rev. Ulrich.  He was confirmed in the
Lutheran church, Rehrersburg, by Rev. Ulrich.  He died Oct. 25, 1915, aged 72
years, 1 month, 22 days.  He is survived by seven children.  The funeral took
place at his home, Nov. 2, interment near Jonestown, at the Brethren Meeting
House.  Text, Rom. 6:8.

Elias DEGLER, son of John M. and wife
Elizabeth, nee BOESHORE, was born March 31, 1844.  He died Nov. 4, 1915, aged
71 years 7 months and 3 days.  Three sisters and five brothers survive.  The
funeral was held on the 9th of Nov. at Zion church, Strausstown.  Text,
Heb.9:27-28.

Franklin Caleb DEGLER, a son of J. B. and his
wife Sarah, nee PAFFENBERGER, was born March 31, 1872, at Strausstown.  He was
baptized by Rev. Finfrock, Aug. 31, 1872, and also confirmed by him April 9,
1887.  He died Nov. 6, 1915, aged 42 years, 7 months and 6 days.  He is
survived by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  Interment and service at
Zion church, Strausstown, Nov. 11.  Text, Job. 14:1-2.

Lillian May STRAUSS, a daughter of Adam W.
and his wife Kate, nee BORKEY, was born Nov. 14, 1904 in Upper Tulpehocken
Twp., and was baptized Jan. 24, 1905, by Rev. Eli Hiester.  She died Nov. 13,
1915, aged 10 years, 11 months, 29 days.  Her parents, a sister and a brother
survive.  The service was held at the house and burial at Zion church,
Strausstown, Nov. 15.  Text, Mk.5:39.

Alfred UNGER was born Sept. 17, 1842, in
Perry Twp., and was baptized by Rev. Jaeger, may 28, 1843.  He was confirmed
Nov. 10, 1860, in Zion church, Strausstown, by Dr. Grahn.  He was married Mar.
21, 1866, to Esther U. DeTURK, by Rev. Zweizig.  He departed life Nov. 13,
1915, aged 72 years, 10 months, 26 days.  His widow and two sons survive, and
one brother.  Funeral Nov. 18.  Interment and service at Zion church,
Strausstown.  Text, II Tim. 4: 7-8.

Melinda S. McALLISTER, nee DEGLER, was born
April 9, 1845, in Upper Tulpehocken Twp., and was baptized by Rev. Minnich,
June 22, 1845.  She was confirmed at Rehrersburn by Rev. Eggers May 7, 1859. 
She was married to alfred McALLISTER Feb. 22, 1866 by Rev. Finfrock.  She
departed from this life Nov. 25, 1915 aged 70 years, 7 months, 16 days. She is
survived by her husband, 4 sons and 3 daughters.  The funeral took place at
Strausstown Nov. 30.  Text, Mk 7:37.

Anna Maria KLINE, nee KUSS, was born May 20,
1834, in Bethel Twp., and was baptized June 29, 1834, by Rev. T.C. Leinbach. 
She was confirmed n the Lutheran  church at Rehrersburg.  She was married in
May, 1854, to William D. KLINE.  She died Dec. 1, 1915, at Bethel, Pa.  Age, 81
years, 6 months, 11 days.  She is survived by 3 sons, 2 daughters and 11
grandchildren.  The funeral was held at Salem church, Bethel, Dec. 5. Text, Ps.
40:1.

Mary A. KLINE, nee POTTEIGER, was born Oct.
18, 1839, in Tulpehocken Twp., and was baptized the same year, Nov. 17, by Rev.
Ulrich.  She was confirmed in the lutheran church at Rehrersburg by Rev.
Eggers, in 1855.  She was married to Mr. KLINE, July 14, 1860, by Rev. Measey. 
She died at Lebanon Dec. 4, 1915, aged 76 years, 1 month, 11 days.  She is
survived by 1 son and 2 daughters.  The funeral took place on Dec. 7, at the
Union church, Rehrersburg.  Text, Rom. 6:8.

Elizabeth McALLISTER, nee GRETH was born Mar.
1, 1835, in Heidelberg Twp., and was baptized June 14, by Pastor Steinbach. 
She was confirmed in Christ Church., Little Tulpehocken.  She was married to
James McALLISTER, and died Dec.26, 1915 aged 80 years, 9 months, 15 days.  She
is survived by one daughter, one step-daughter, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  She
was buried Dec. 30, at Little Tulpehocken.  Text: II. Tim. 1:10.

Reilly R. KLINE, born Aug. 12, 1859, in
Tulpehocken Twp., was baptized by Rev. L.G. Eggers, Sept. 11, of the same
year.  He was confirmed by Rev. Dr. Wolf, Oct. 13, 1877.  He was married to
Elizabeth S. LESHER, Oct. 9, 1886, by Rev. L.D. Stambaugh.  He died Jan 4,
1916, aged 56 years, 4 months, 22 days.  He is survived by his widow, 3 sons
and 2 daughter[s], and one sister.  The funeral
took place on Jan 11, interment and service at the Union  church, Rehrersburg.

Rebecca FREEMAN, nee NAFTZINGER, was born
July 25, 1841, in Tulpehocken Twp., and was baptized the following Nov. 14, by
Pastor Mennig.  She was confirmed at Belleman’s church by Pastor Jaeger.  She
was married to John K. FREEMAN, Dec. 8, 1860, by Rev. Jaeger.  She died Feb. 8,
1916, aged 74 years, 6 months, 11 days.  Two children and three sisters
survive.  The funeral took place Feb. 14, 1916.  Interment and services at
Christ church, Little Tulpehocken.

Isaac Adam HETTINGER, a son of Adam and
Gertie, nee SCHULER, was born Jan. 7, 1902, in North Heidleberg Twp., and was
baptized the following March 24, by Rev. A.J. Long.  He died March 7, 1916. 
Aged 13 years, 2 months.  He is survived by his parents, 5 brothers and sisters. 
The funeral took place at St. Paul’s, Tulpehocken, March 11.  Text. Mt. 18:11.

Anna Rebecca BRICKER, nee HOFFMAN, was born
Dec. 25, 1835, was baptized in infancy, and confirmed at St. Michael’s church. 
She was married to Enoch BRICKER in 1871. She died March 11, 1916, aged 80
years, 2 months, 15 days.  She is survived by 4 sons and one brother.  The
funeral took place at Frieden’s church, Shartlesville, March 16.  Text. II Cor.
5:10.

Phoebe FEICK, a daughter of Samuel and his
wife Sallie, nee BERGER, was born Sept. 11, 1900, in Upper tulpehocken Twp.,
and was baptized the following Oct. 14, by Rev. Trexler.  She died March 11,
1916, aged 15 years, 6 months.  She is survived by her parents, a sister, and a
brother.  The funeral service and interment was held at Friedens Church,
Shartlesville, March 17.  Text, Is. 43:1.

Laura Marie SEITZINGER, a daughter of Jacob
M. and his wife Sallie Kate, nee BOLTZ was born Mar. 23 [or 22], 1909, at Strausstown.  She was baptized by Rev. Pflueger
April 25, 1909.  She died March  12, 1916, aged 6 years, 11 months, 19 days. 
She is survived by her parents and two brothers.  The funeral took place March
18, at Zion church, Strausstown.  Text, Ps. 16:6.

Wm. Henry RENTSCHLER was born Jan. 13, 1869,
in Upper Bern Twp., and was baptized on the 31st of the same month, by Rev.
Zweizig.  He was confirmed March 29, 1884, by Rev. Zweizeg in St. Michael’s
church.  He was married by Rev. T.C. Leinbach to Sallie KANTNER, April 2, 1878 [date].  He died at Strausstown, Mar. 22, 1916, aged
47 years, 2 months, 9 days.  He is survived by his widow, 4 sons, 5 daughters
and [unreadable figure] brothers.  The funeral
took place March 27 at Zion church, Strausstown.  Text, I Sam. 20:3.
