Registered surname(s):
Reppard
on November 28, 2011Comments: My maternal grandmother’s family were Reppards – spelling varies – from Northumberland area but I’m sure they are connected to Peter Repard and Margaret Rudi from Bucks/Montgomery Counties, which may have been Berks at one point. I have found too many coincidences not to be. These Reppards were Lutheran.It has been proven that they are not connected to Bryon Reppert’s family.
I believe that second cousins married – Levi Reppard married Mary A. Moore, the great grandchild of Peter and Margaret via Peter Jr. and Barbara Gerling. Either their (P&B) daughter Elizabeth married a Moore or the daughter Mary married a Moore – spelling varies. I think one of these daughters married twice as Whitmore and Woodrow grandchildren are listed in Barbara’s will. Mary and daughter Priscilla are listed on the 1850 census as Woodrow’s living with a Renn. The Renns are connected to Levi’s maternal side of the family.
I have contacted Montgomery Co. Historical Society to see if I can pay to find out who Peter and Margaret’s other sons, Frederick and Jacob married and sired. I am proposing that one of them had a son Peter who moved to be with his uncle Peter in Northumberland Co. and married a Dewitt.I also contacted the Northumberland Historical Society but most of the material given were copies of material that my mother and sister had sent to them.
I just need one piece of the puzzle and everything will fall into place – I hope!
Diane Brown Clauss

Braun,
Brown
on November 22, 2004Comments: Montgomery’s Annals tells of the old progenitor of this line in Pricetown, Ruscombmanor Twp., as a Jacob Braun. He supposedly had a large family. My brick wall is George Braun b 14 Dec 1764, according to his tombstone, son or grandson of that Jacob. He is buried in St. John’s Cemetery in Pricetown near the NE front corner of the church.

Robert A. Custer
Registered surname(s):
Custer
on April 1, 2007Comments: My name is Robert A. Custer. I live in North Myrtle Beach S.C. I have been researching my family history
and came to a problem. My grandfather Samuel W. Custer, according to his death cert. his father was
Morris B. Custer or Morris V. Custer, I found it both ways on census, b.1849.Morris father, my great great
grandfather was Solomon L Custer of Amity twp.,Berks cty.a farmer. I also have S.L. Custer as a Pa. state
Rep. 1859 to 1860. The problem that I have is that I’am finding two Morris Custers from Berks Cty. b.1849.
Any info. on this would be helpful.
