Comments: Most of my ancestors settled originally in Berks County. But in 1811, when Schuylkill County was formed using part of Berks Co., they found themselves living in Schuylkill County. Most of the information I have been able to gather on them I’ve gotten from kind Berks County researchers. I was born in Pottsville and raised in Schuylkill Haven. After WW II my father found work in Baltimore, MD thus we were uprooted and my Dad became the first generation to leave the Berks/Schuylkill area since my grx6-grandfather came to this country and settled in Berks Co. in 1743. I now live in Delaware County, PA; but Berks/Schuylkill is still “home” to me.

Husband’s family lived in Bethel, Berks Co., according to censuses. Henry Shubart is as far back as I can find. There were several daughters and granddaughters – who did they marry?
