John Robert (J. Robert) Coxe, chiropractor, was born March 26, 1899,
in Reading, Pennsylvania, a son of John L. and Trace (Harper) Coxe of
that city. He was educated in the public schools and entered the
United States service at the age of eighteen years, joining the navy.
He was detailed to service in the office of the naval commander, in
work connected with the operation of submarines. After being mustered
out in July, 1920, he entered the Palmer School of Chiropractic at
Davenport, Iowa, from which he was graduated in February, 1923.
Locating at once in York, Pennsylvania, he here met with gratifying
success, and added to his roll of friends and grateful patients every
day. Mr. Coxe is now located in Reading. He is a member of the
Universal Chiropractors’ Association, and also the State branch of that
organization, and is a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church of York,
in whose good works he is an efficient and faithful participator.

Dr. Coxe was married, September 3, 1921, to Caroline Datts, a native
of Reading, and a graduate of the Palmer School of Chiropractic. She
assists her husband in the care of his patients, and enjoys with him
the confidence and esteem of the public. They have a son, Robert
Richard Coxe.
