In Memoriam ~ Mary Davis
      By Rev. Herman Ridley
      October 10, 2002

Mary loved her Lord and Savior,
She lived her life to gain God's favor.
Many years through trials and pain
Mary kept going--the heavenly prize to gain.

Mary Kept her faith until the end,
She knew that Jesus was her special friend.
The way was sometimes rough and tough,
But Mary's faith and God's grace was just enough.

Mary sat at the feet of Jesus, many a long, weary day,
As she sat at the feet of Jesus--she had time to pray.
She surely prayed for all of us who journey here below,
I think a part of that prayer must have been
That her Jesus we might know.

So we say farewell to Mary, she's no longer in her chair.
She has gone to be with Jesus, she's safe within His care.
Could we glimpse the heavenly city with its diadems and gold,
We might see the ever youthful Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus,
In that land where we never grow old.
