GUMMO posted by Ruth A. Larson on Monday, January 10, 2005

Iam compiling a booklet about former rural and early school teachers of Elk and nearby counties. ANNIE GUMMO's, name was on a list of teachers in the Johnsonburg, Pa borough school 4/20/1900. A brief notation in the Johnsonburg press on 9/13/1901 stated Miss Anna Gummo, former teacher at Johnsonburg, was teaching at Cross Fork in 1901. So far, that is all I know about Miss Anna Gummo but I am searching for more information. I would like to include a write-up in the booklet about her. I found a picture of her when she was teaching in Johnsonburg about 1896-1897 but would like to have a picture of her, possibly when she graduated from Normal school or college. All assistance will be greatly appreciated.
