AUSTIN, VANRIPER posted by Renee Arnold on Tuesday, July 25, 2000

Thomas AUSTIN, of Austin, PA. I recently discovered that my great aunt Alice VANRIPER, from Ithaca, Tompkins Co. NY married a Thomas AUSTIN of Austin, PA in July of 1910, at Newfield, NY. The marriage announcement stated at the end that "Mr. and Mrs. AUSTIN will live in Austin, PA", although I believe they eventually ended up in Tompkins Co. (NY) again. Can anyone tell me who Thomas AUSTIN's parents might have been? I know that Alice and Thomas AUSTIN had one child, a son named James, but I don't know if he was born in PA or NY. Any info. on Thomas AUSTIN's parentage appreciated....I would assume he was probably born sometime during the 1880s. thanks.
