Schwart/Swartz/Black; First Veterans Society Seeking parents of David and his twin brother John, born 28 October 1781, "Coffa" Township, Lancaster County per a fraktur fragment presented by "First Veterans Society". It is believed that the other part of the fraktur with the names of the parents was given to John when the two brothers became adults. Family tradition states that David was kidnapped at about age 3 byh hose-thieves who changed his name to Blacksur, and that David was reunited with his family at age 19 when his mother recognized him (apparently he and brother John were identical twins rather than fraternal) in a chance encounter. David moved to the vicinity of Davidsville, Somerset County, PA, where his son Henry was born in 1801, but died in Buchanan County, Iowa in 1860. Also interested in learning more of First Veteran Society (not certain this is the full name).
