TROSCH/Michael. His naturalization records show that he applied for citizenship in 1868. He arrived in US from France in 1847. The records say that he was under the age of 18 in 1847. At the bottom of the page can barely make out Lancaster, Pa. Would appreciate any help on this family

He and his three sons fought in the Revolutionary War. Two sons were killed. The third, Captain Alexander Davidson, moved from NC to Tennessee in about 1804 and was buried there in about 1818. In 1749, Rev. Alexander Craighead, "lately of Lancaster Co., Pa.," came to the upper Cowpasture River to form the Windy Cove Presbyterian Church in Augusta Co., Va. His father Rev. Thomas Craighead came with Alexander. I am Don McMurray and my family may be intertwined with the Craigheads in Pa. as they were in Augusta Co., Va. and in N.C. where Rev. Alexander Craighead took most of his congregation including Thonas McMurray by 1752.

I am searching for info on Balthsar Neumann (Americanized to Balsar Newman) b. 1811 in Hesse Kassel, Germany. Balsar was a stow away arriving in Lancaster, PA in 1817. He met Eliza "Lizzie" Eifort, possibly d/o of Henry and Catherine Eifort, also from Hesse Kassel. They married cir 1835, I believe in Lancaster, PA. I am looking for information on Elmer Levi Midkiff. Born in West Virgina and married to Julia M Peters around 1923. Elmer Levi was born in the late 1800's and died int he early 1930's. He was survived by two daughters Ellen Elouise and Judith Genevieve. Elmer Levi Midkiff also had a brother Richard Midkiff who was quite musical and taught music in the Charleston West Virginia area. HAYNES, HAINES, HAINS, HANES, HUGGINS I'm looking for Joseph HAYNES, b. abt 1683, d. abt 1760, Harrisburg, PA. We have not spouse listed, but Joseph had three sons for which we have documented proof: Bartholomew, b. 1718, d. 27 Sep 1778, Northumberland Co., PA, m. Jane (Haynes) David, b. 1720, d. 1798, Iredell Co., NC, m. 1743, Jane HUGGINS James, b. 1723, d. 7 Jun 1789, Iredell Co., NC, m. 1746, Ann HUGGINS Would like to know the final resting place of Joseph. Joseph was suppose to have been a dissenting Presbyterian or non-conformist, then called a Seceder, if this is any help to perhaps establish the church he may have attended. Joseph also may have been know by the name of Christopher. I am posting this query in Lancaster Co., because Dauphin Co., was formed from Lancaster Co., PA, in 1785, after the death of the individual for which I am looking. Therefore, all records may be in the Lancaster Co., archives.

CONRAD...Looking for info re: George Conrad, who lived in Heidelburg Twp, and died in 1765. Among his children was Catharine, whom, according to a secondary source, married Johannes Schuy in the late 1740s. Any info welcome...I have a ton of info on Cath. & Johannes' descendent lines.

Looking for information about the Peter Eshelman Sr. fmaily. Peter, b. 1683, Switzerland, emmigrated to America August 28, 1733 on the "Ship Hipe". With him wer his wife Magdeland, and four of their children: Christian, age 19; Barbara, age 16; Jacob, age 11; and Peter Jr., age 9. The eldest daughter Magdelana emmigrated in 1731. She was listed as over 16 and single. The eldest son, Benedict, emmigrated in 1732. Peter first settled in Conostogo Twp, Lancaster PA., later moving to what became Berks Co., where he died February 1754. His son Benedict married Ann Stehman (dau of Joseph Stehman who had emmigrated in 1719 and died 1756). Their children were John, David, Veronica, Anna, Elizabeth, Barbara, Maria, and Benedict Jr. Any help will be greatly appreicated.
