Thomas STEVENSON born near Stralane, County Tyrone Ireland married Elizabeth MOORE. They had eight children born in Ireland: Robert, William, Martha, James, Henry, Nancy, Rebeca Thomas (died young buried in Ireland) then another child Mary was born 17 Feb. 1850 on the boat coming to America. Their last child again a Thomas was born 16 Jan. 1869 in Jefferson County and may have died young. Many of the family are buried in Beechwoods Cemetery of Jefferson County. (source: Don Moyer 1997)
