Maria Johnson et al  to George Kuhnley 

This Indenture made this first day of May A.D. Eighteen Hundred and fifty one
between Maria Johnson widow of William Johnson Esquire Deceased Maria
Catherine Johnson and Julia A. Johnson single women, William Templeton Johnson
Counsellor at Law and Laura W. his wife all of the City and State of New York
by their attorney in fact Horace Binny Juror of the City of Philadelphia and
the said Horace Binny Juror and Eliza Francy(?) formerly Eliza Frances Johnson
the said Maria Catherine William Templeton Julia A. and Eliza Frances being
the ___sees heirs and legal representatives of the said William Johnson of the
City of New York Deceased of the one part and George Kuhnley of the other part
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of
the sum of three hundred and thirty nine dollars to them in hand paid by the
said George Kuhnley at and before the sealing hereof the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged and the said George Kuhnley forever acquitted and
discharged have granted bargained sold aleined _____ released and confirmed
and by these presents do grant bargain sell alein ____ release and confirm
unto the said George Kuhnley and his heirs and assigns that certain piece or
parcel of land situate in Gaskill Township Jefferson County beginning at a
popular on land of John Boyer and running thence by said Boyer�s land and land
of I. Pifer east one hundred and twenty perches to a post thence by land of
Samuel Beem south one hundred and sixty perches to a post by other lands of
the parties of the first part West one hundred and twenty perches to a hemlock
and thence north one hundred and sixty perches to the beginning _____ one
hundred and thirteen acres and forty perches being part of a larger tract of
land surveyed on a warrant to Timothy Pickering and others no. 540 and
patented to said William Johnson bearing date the 18 day of January A.D. 1838
enrolled in patent Book Vol. 38 page 424 the title which by the death of the
said William Johnson hath rested in the said parties of the first part
together with all and singular the privileges and appurtances hereunto
belonging or in anyway appertaining to have and to hold the said piece or
parcel of land with the said privileges and appurtances unto the said George
Kuhnley his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use benefit and
behoof of him the said George Kuhnley his heirs and assigns forever and the
said parties of first part ____ and for their heirs executors and
administrators do hereby grant covenant and agree to and with the said George
Kuhnley his heirs and assigns that they the parties of the first part their
heirs executors the said described piece or parcel of land hereby granted or
meant and intended so to be unto the said George Kuhnley his heirs and assigns
against them the said parties of the first part and against all and any
persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same by from through or under or any
of them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In
witnes where the said parties have hereunto interchangeably set ___ to and
seal the date and year first above written
