In the name of God Amen. I George Goss of the township of Decatur in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. Being in good health and of body and of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and declare this to be my will and testament in the manner following, this is to say I order that all my just debts, funeral expenses and charges of proving this may be in the first place. Fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof and every part thereof. My real and personal property shall be directed as follows. Second my daughter Lavina Small to have my bed and bedding. The balance to be equally divided amongst all of my children with the exception of Mary, my daughter now married to Peter Smeal, there shall be the sum of eighty dollars shall be taken out of her share for building house and improving lot on Peter Smeal’s farm, and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Joseph Goss of Decatur Township of Clearfield County and state of aforesaid and Cyrenius Howe of the same place to be my executor of this my last will and testament. Set my hand and seal this 22 day of September 1862. Signed sealed Published declared by the said testator George Goss and as for his last will and testament in the presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witness thereof.

Proof of Will Clearfield County Ss:

Then personally appeared Thomas Warring and Cyrenius Howe. Two of the subscribing witnesses to the within or foregoing last will and testament of George Goss, deceased , and on their solenm oath did say that they were present and did see and hear George Goss of Decatur Township Clearfield County Pennsylvania deceased. The testator therein named seal publish and declare the same as and or for his last will and testament and at the doing thereof he was of sound disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
