Looking for any info on the following family. John & Anna Catherine SCHNEIDER. John b. abt 1809 in Germany & Anna Catherine b. abt 1813 in Germany. They had at least 1 dau. who was probably b. in Bedford Co., PA in 1842. Her name was also Anna Catherine. They had an eldest son, John Tulbert, but he was b. in Hanover, Germ. in 1837. They also had 2 younger children, but they were b. in Iowa. So, as best I can figure, this family lived in Bedford Co. sometime between 1837-1842 at least. I don't know when they immigrated from Germ. or anything. Any help, cooperation, & suggestions would be very much appreciated. Randy Muir

I am seeking to learn where my great-great grandmother's uncle--Lawrence TALIAFERRO is buried. Lawrence raised my great-great grandmother Mary Louisa Brooke-Taliaferro, after her father Hay (of Virginia) died and she became orphaned. Lawrence TALIAFERRO died in Bedford, Pennsylvania on Jan. 22, 1871. (He was born in King George Co., Virginia. He married Eliza(beth) DILLON around 1828, or so. I do not know if they were married in Bedford, or not. They had no children together, but Lawrence had a daughter (ALSO named Mary L.) before his marriage to Eliza Dillon, who was born in 1828 near Ft. Snelling - St. Paul, Minnesota, while he was Indian agent at Fort Snelling, MN. (Lawrence TALIAFERRO was Indian agent at Ft. Snelling for 20 years and was a Major with the U.S. Army at Ft. Snelling until his retirement in 1838 or 1839, when he temporarily retired. He re-enlisted in the army several times and among his positions with the army, he served as military store keeper in Bedford Pa. If anyone has any information regarding Lawrence TALIAFERRO, Mary Taliaferro-Woodbury (his daughter born in Minnesota), his wife Eliz. Dillon, or my great-great grandmother, I would be very grateful to hear from you. Thanks for any type of information you can give me regarding this. Lorette Choquette-Zale at: TwoZales@aol.com
