Juniata Crossings

The Juniata Crossings is located where the river goes under route 30, just west of Breezewood. This is the location where the double covered bridge was once located. There was also a Ft. Martin located probably less than a mile east of Juniata Crossings, at the top of the hill before you drop down into Breezewood. The Juniata Crossing is now open into a gift shop and for a real treat anyone in the area should visit it. The first floor or what looks like the basement if you are on route 30 is already open and I think the second floor or what looks like a first floor from route 30 is going to be open soon and possibly this week. If you pass the Juniata Crossings on route 30 you are actually seeing the back of it. Although the back is nice it is nothing compared to seeing the front of it. The Weaverling Home is circa 3 miles West of the Juniata Crossings beside the present Travelers Rest Restaurant is located. There is a Sheepskin gift shop in front of the Weaverling Home.
