Last will and testament of John Herron (1827-1855)

The last Will and Testament of John Herron of the township of Franklin in the county of Armstrong Pa., I John Herron considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory (Blessed be Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will by me made at my timer heretofore, First I direct that all my just debts as Shall be by one owing at my death together with my funeral expenses and all charges concerning this will shall in the first place be fully paid and satisfied out of the first money that shall come unto the hands of my executors from any portion of my estate real or personal, Also I direct --- a fair valuation or apprasement of all my estate real and personal and after such appraisement is made sold by my executors for it�s reasonable value and the proceeds the proceeds of the said sale to be divided into two equal parts or shares one half part thereof I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Jane Herron an d the other half part I give and bequeath to Margaret Herron my mother. Also I make and ordain James S. Herron and Jonathan E. Meredith my executors of this my last will and testament and lastly I do hereby appoint Andrew Milligan overseer of the same, In witness whereof, I John Herron the Testator have to this my will set my hand and seal this the nineteenth day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five.

Signed sealed embellished and declared by the above named John Herron to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our as witnesses hereunto.

Before me, William Miller registrar of Wills in and for said county personally appeared John Crawford Sr. , Alexander Morrow and Harvey Doughterty, the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will who being duly sworn according to law ---- and --- that they were present and saw and heard John Herron the testator herein named sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the forgoing will or instrument of writing as and for his last Will and testament and that at the time of so doing he the same John Herron was of perfect, sound mind and memory to the best of their knowledge and belief. s/ John Crawford
