- I am looking for information on George and Margaret (Fowler) Robertson.
They came to Westmoreland Co., Pa. ca.1895. Margaret's mother (Margaret
MacGregor Fowler) and family also came to the area soon after. George and
Margaret's children include Andy, Murray, George, Arch, Bill, Henry,
Barbara, Annie, Grace, Margaret and Elmer. Some were born in Scotland,
some in PA. Margaret and George were buried in West Newton Cemetery. Do
any of these names sound familiar to anyone. I am trying desperately to
fill in some blanks. thank you

- I am looking for any information on the Kelly/Kelley family from
Greensburg. There is a Clarence Eugene Kelly/Kelley born around 1900 and
was married to Margret Elizabeth Fickner. Clarence's parents names were
Clarence and Myrtle(we think). There is also a Homer Kelly/Kelley that we
were told was a police officer for Greensburg. Anything that you might
have would help us alot. Thank You!

- Looking for info for Samuel PATTERSON who lived in Derry Township,
Westmoreland County, PA. His will was written in 1798 and was proved in
1803. His children listed in this will were: Chestnut PATTERSON, Samuel
PATTERSON, Ann Patterson MCCULLOUGH, and Thomas PATTERSON. His son,
Chestnut PATTERSON (presumably named for Chestnut Ridge in Westmoreland
County) apparently moved to Coventry, Chester County, PA. by 1810. It
appears as though they might have served in Lochrey's, or is it Lochney's,
Rangers. Any clues or information will be greatly appreciated.

- Looking for info on Mary Bowers. The 1900 Census list Edward, William
and Viola Frew living with their Aunt Mary Bowers in Westmoreland Co.
Viola married Harry Twigger. The 1910 Census shows that Harry and Viola
Twigger, Edward and William Frew, and Mary Bowers were living in Armstrong
Co. The Frew's were the children of Samuel and Hattie J. Frew. Hattie may
be Mary's sister, but I 'm not sure. Any help is appreciated. Mike

- I am looking for relatives of my grandfather, Josef Kochis(Kocis, Kocsis)
b. 1882, and in 1903 married Marie Kacvinsky in Westmoreland Cty. They
lived in and around the Greensburg-Youngwood areaa. They had 12 children,
including, Steve, Michael, Catherine, John(my father), Jacob, Elizabeth,
Agnes, Margaret & Helen. I am looking for his parents and siblings.
Any info on Josef or Marie would be appreciated.

- I am looking for information on my grandmother, Marie (Mary) Kacvinsky
b. 1884 in Austria. In 1903 she married Josef Kochis (Kocis,Kocsis) in
Westmoreland Cty, and they lived in and around the Greensburg-Youngwood
area. They had 12 children including Steve, Michael, John (my father),
Jake, Catherine Sakala, Elizabeth Walsh, Agnes Tims, Margaret Italiano
& Helen Crunkilton. tAll except Steve & Michael lived in Knox
County, OH. Marie had siblings including George, John, Joseph, William,
Catherine, Elizabeth, Anna Orange, Sophia and the youngest was Susan. Does
anyone have any other information on Marie's parents/siblings?

- Looking for John and Sarah Lewis, Westmoreland County, parents of Cyrus
Lewis, born Westmoreland County APril 14, 1835. The family moved to
Coshocton, Ohio when Cyrus was still a boy. Cyrus eventually moved to
Blackford County, Indiana. He was an herbalist and a stone mason. Cyrus
married Nancy Elizabeth Blount. John and Sarah Lewis are my gr gr
grandparents. I have no info regarding Sarah's surname or dates of birth
or ancestors.

Co. He and possibly his parents moved to Portage Co, OH around 1828.
Alexander married Mary LANTZ in Portage Co, OH in 1835. They had 8
children. In 1858, Alexander and family moved to Putnam Co, IL.

- Need info on Sara Jane and George Ulery, and son Edward. Sara Jane nee
Skidmore died 8/56 and George in 1961, both buried in Donegal Cemetary.

until abt. 1816. Probably in southern part as I believe he was a ruling
elder of Tyrone Church, which is just south of Jacobs Creek in now Fayette
Co. In 1816 he took his family west down the Ohio River to Indiana in

Rohrer born 1740 and died in Greensburg 1823 who married Catherine DEEMER
in 1766 York County. WHERE is the list of the NINE children. HAS anyone
found the ancestors and sibling of Cathrine Elizabeth DEEMER PA? Anna
Stering born 1812 marries Samuel TRUBY 1833 and they settle in Brookville
Jefferson County. NEED the parents of Anna STERLING TRUBY. 1776, 1783,
1786 David , George, and John Morgan listed with acres in Westmorland. I
NEED Morgan family data. My Thomas Morgan is in Venango County 1809 I am
always looking for FORKER. Patrick in Washington County area as early as

- In Westmoreland County 1788 1786 land records of JAMES REED REID and
Robert Douglass. LOOKING for history of this REED. James may be LT COL
James Read of Philadelhpia 1785. The lot was in what was later called
Callenburg, PA or Richland Twp Venango/Clarion. I NEED James Reed and
family history. I think John L Reid of Callenburg 1827 Captain Washington
Rangers may be a son or newphew . I am looking for William REED REID too.
It may be that Reed was married to an Elizabeth Douglass. BOTH REID and
Douglass are with MORGAN in Lancaster PA 1740.

- Looking for information on a Joseph HOGLE who was born in Greensburg on
March 1, 1873. I believe he may have lived in Westmoreland Co sometime
between 1880 and 1898 or after 1920. He may have had at least three wives.
Wife #2 was Nellie; #3 was Hilda. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who
may have come across Joseph in the Westmoreland Co area.

- I am trying to locate information on Charlotte Penvose who is said to
have been a teacher in the New Kensington area around the 1950's. I'm also
told that later in life she married Fred Oldham but they had no children.
She had a sister Agnes and her father, William John Penvose probably lived
with her.

- Trying to find information on Joseph Steele who married Anna Whitehead.
He was born in Export, Westmoreland County PA., Died Feb. 1903. Anna was
born in Herminie, Westmoreland County PA., dod unknown. Joseph and Anna
had the following children: Margaret Steele who married an Avery, Emily
who married a Lentz and Playfair, Charles Steele, Walter Steele and Harry
Steele who was born on Jan 29, 1896. I have information on Emily and Harry
but not the rest of the family. Would like to know who Joseph and Anna's
parents and siblings are, also who Margaret married along with Charles and
Walter. They all at one time lived in Irwin, Westmoreland County, PA. Any

- My 4th great grandfather lived in Perryville, Washington Twp. (now Bell
Twp.), Westmoreland County (1798-1840). Andrew Whitaker (Widdecke/Whitekey)
had two sons... Martin and one other son (I'm looking for the other sons
name). Also, Martin Whitaker had four sons; Henry, Peter, Mathias, and
Martin Jr. Martin Sr. also had at least two daughters... does anyone know

1911 His wife came in 1912. They both came from Czechoslavakia. He worked

- Why were Edward/Edmond Charles Kellar/Keller and wife Mildred May
Garrett living in Greensburg when daughter Dora Jean Kellar was born in
1925? He was age 38; she was 35. The birth was recorded in the Noble
County, Ohio, Health Department records. Was there family living in
Greensburg? The Kellar family for several generations had been in Noble
coming from Shenandoah Co in the 1820s, but! They arent' all accounted
for. Was there a link to Westmoreland? The Kellar line goes back through
William Henry to John D. to Michael to Michael born in 1760 and died in
Alexandria, VA in 1816.

1700's or Very early 1800's.They settled in Belmont County, Ohio. Thier
names are as followed: Samuel Donner,who married Lydia Shoemaker.Thier
children were Oliver,Soloman, Levi,Racheal and Mary. Another Donner family
was Henry Donner. he married Eudoxia Penn. My Great uncle told me that
Samuel and Henry were related.Any information anyone can provide would be
