Biography
George Washington Frick was the second son of Daniel Frick and Catherine Miller b 1824 in Smithton,Pa. c. at Hoffman or Hope Lutheran Church; m1845 Brush Creek Luth. to Hannah Hawk, b 1825 Mt. Pleasant, Pa. He died abt 1885 Teacher in Mt. Pleasant-1850 census. 1858 member of Salem Township Council. 1860 census teaching at Salem Crossroads;one child, female, Melanctha 9yrs. 1863- Burgess of New Salem Twp. Civil War 1st sar, 22nd reg,Pa. State Militia. 1870 census- Ludwick Boro, (Greensburg) deputy sheriff. 1873 Clerk of Orphan's Ct. Greensburg. Have no information on the child Melanctha. Suspect that the name is Melancthon, male. No other children found.
