Weaver

John Nesbit Weaver was born 17 Dec 1842 near Punxsutawney, Jefferson Co., Pennsylvania.  I have not been able to find out who his parents were or his brothers or sisters.  He was 5' 10 3/4" and had brown eyes and black hair according to his Civil War records.

He married Anna Margaret Beighley near South Bend, PA on 17 Dec 1863.  They were members of St. Jacob's Lutheran & Reformed Church.  Their children were:

Melissa Myra (King), b. 20 Sep 1872, d. Jun 1969
Twin Boys, b. & d. 28 Apr 1874
Aurilla Clementine (Long), b. 27 Mar 1875, d. 1951
Ira Glenn, b. 5 Feb 1877, d. 3 Jan 1946
Wilson Wright, b. 26 Dec 1878, d. 20 Aug 1949
Arlie Anslie, b. 5 Mar 1881, d. Jul 1969
John Luther, b. 10 Oct 1883, d. 26 Aug 1962
Harvey Conrad, b. 10 Jul 1885, d. Jul 1974
Adda May (Altman), b. 20 Mar 1888, d. 28 Oct 1964.

John was a farmer and served in the Civil War.  He enlisted 16 Oct. 1862 as a Private at Pittsburgh, PA in Captain Guthrie's Unattached Co. PA Militia Infantry.  He was discharged at Harrisburg, PA on 23 July 1863.

John died 15 Dec 1923 and is buried in the South Bend Cemetery, Armstrong Co., PA.
