Court House Recorder's Office has deeds, mortages and misc. (includes wills) starting about 1804. Court House Prothonotary's office has marriages from 1885 to present and deaths and births from 1893 to 1905 (Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Vital Statistics start at 1906 and are housed in New Castle, PA).

The Oswayo Valley Historical Society covers history of the Oswayo Valley. The Oswayo Valley is located in the extreme northwest section of Potter County, although the communities of Myrtle and Ceres, in McKean County (Penn'a), are also located in the Valley. The Oswayo Valley stretches approximately 24-25 miles from Ceres in the northwest to Andrews Settlement in the Southeast. Andrews Settlement, Oswayo, Eleven Mile, Ceres, Chrystal, Honeoye, Coneville, Myrtle, Wildcat, Sharon Center, Clara, Shinglehouse, Sunnyside, Millport and Whitney Creek are located in the Oswayo Valley, and the Oswayo Creek and its tributaries flow through the townships of Pleasant Valley, Sharon, Clara, Oswayo, Genesee, Hebron and Allegany, in Potter County, and Ceres Township in McKean County.
