REED posted by Donna Dietrick on Wednesday, August 23, 2000

Levi REED. He was born in Bradford in the late 1800's and lived in Rathburn or Emporium, and later St. Marys. I'm told he was Native American and wore his hair in braids. He worked for the railroad. I haven't found any dates or other info yet. He married Elizabeth,(no last name given). He had a son named Clarence. Any one know where I could find out more? What court house would I need to go to? He was my great, great grandfather and I am having a lot of trouble finding any info on that side of the family. Thanks for any help.

PROSSER posted by Anna Loan-Wilsey on Wednesday, August 30, 2000

My great-grandfather, Merlin A. PROSSER, was killed by a trolley car and buried in a Coudersport cemetery. He died approx. 1934/1935 but I'm not certain about that. He was born in abt.1900 in Keswick,Ontario, CA. My grandmother gave him a simple stone but doesn't remember many details. I have very little information about him and would like at least what it says on his gravestone. I do not have any chance of going there myself. Any information (leads for an obituary)would be most appreciated.
