October 14, 1862

We, the undersigned prisoners of war captured near the lines of the Potomac, do give our parole of honor not to take up arms against the Confederate States of America or perform any duty whatsoever, either military or garrison, or divulge any thing in regard to the disposition or condition of the Confederate States of America forces until regularly paroled; this 8th day of October 1862.
