Enrolled May 15, 1863 at Gum Springs at age 27.  Mustered in May 15, 1863 as Assistant Surgeon at Gum Springs.  Discharged on Surgeon's Certificate of Disability. Rolls also show name as Vaughn, A. C.

He applied for a pension June 3, 1872, Application No. 175,340, Certificate No. 241,302. Died July 16, 1919 at Rockford, Ohio.
