- I'm interested in the family of Thomas BUTLER, b. 1720 Kilkenny
Ireland and his wife Eleanor PARKER. Their five sons began what was to
become a military dynasty, from the Rev. War to WWI. My step-son is
descended from the youngest son, Edward b. 1762 PA, d. 1803 in TN. I
would also like to learn more of the famous "queue" incident
between Col. Thomas BUTLER and Brig. Gen. James Wilkinson, prior to Col.
Butler's death in New Orleans, in 1805. R. Paul Adams, Baton Rouge, LA.
