Searching county of birth for John Rosier, Sr., born 1785,Pa., county unknown. Possibly connected to John and Elizabeth Rowzer/Rosier of Bedford County cited in the Genealogical Society of Pa's Colonial Records, V.12, p. 377 as having had six children: John, Hannah, Isaac, Joseph, Rachel, Rebekka. Searching for proof that the John Rosier, Sr., born 1785, Pa., who died 1867 Parkton, Baltimore County, Md., was the son, grandson, or nephew of one of Elizabeth's sons. John Rosier Sr.'s daughter Hannah may have been named for her great-aunt if John,Sr, b. 1785, was the son or grandson of Isaac or Joseph and the nephew of the original couple.

Subject: query: Barnabas Valentine

Barnabas Valentine (1757-1831) was kidnapped in 1771 as a boy in Ireland by a ship's crew and brought to America. He escaped, probably in Baltimore or Philadelphia and somehow became indentured to Reverend Tompson Smith. In 1777, a Robert King and his brother purchased Barnabas indenture from Smith so Barnabas could enlist in the 10th Pennsylvania Regiment as their substitute. Barnabas was enlisted by Lieutenant John Steele, possibly in Lancaster, and he served until 1783 when he was discharged at Princeton,New Jersey. I have his military and pension records, records of a private bill introduced in Congress to grant him land, and records of an lifetime annuity granted him by the Pennsylvania Assembly.Barnabas apparently married in 1783. He reared a family of ten children, but I know not where. He shows up in Mifflin County on the tax rolls for 1807, and is there until 1820 when he sell his farm and moves to Ohio. I would appreciate any information on the missing years, 1783-1807.

Robert was born in Wales Cr1672. Robert and Elizabeth were married Cr1702 at the Donegal Church in Lancaster Co., They had four sons namely, John, Thomas, Peter (from whom I descend) and William. Peter married Rachel (unknown) , if anyone could tell me anything about Rachel's background it would be appreciated. Peter was baptized at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in the village of Schaefferstown on 1 Mar 1818, sponsored by Christian Gettel and his wife, Barbara. Susanna married my great great grandfather, John Rieth, on 19 Jul 1819. They lived in Heidelberg, later Millcreek, Twp, Lebanon County, PA. I have not been able to identify her parents or her place of birth. If you have any information about any Susanna Klatz or Klotz who appears to fit the foregoing data, please write. Also: Susanna Klotz, dau. of Johannes and Veronica (Krause) Klotz, Whitehall Twp, Lehigh Co, PA, was b. on 1 May 1792. She was listed in her father's will, written on 19 Dec 1795, and probated on 13 Jan 1796. That is the last record I have been able to find about her. If you have any knowledge of what happened to her, please write.

Seeking info on ANDRESS RINGLE (or RINGEL, REINGLE), the patriarch of our family. He was born in Ludwigsburg, Wurttenberg, German. Year unknown. Came to America when he was 17 and in 1746 purchased 50 acres of land in Bucks County. Need to determine when he immigrated, DOB, Names of Parents, etc. Also, his daughter Catherine Margretha died in 1747. When was she born? His first wife was ANNA ELIZABETH AHLGEYER (1709-1947) b. in Hanover, GA. Who was his 2nd wife? They had 4 children.

Subject: Gibson genealogy

I am descended from the union of Isabella Huston and James Gibson. Isabella is the daughter of Samuel and Isabella Sharon Huston--both parents died in Cumberland County, PA, but I believe he father was born in Lancaster. Any information I can find regarding either of her parents would be appreciated, but I am especially interested in the ancestory of James Gibson as I joined DAR on his service while in TN although I believe he was active in the Revolutionary War while still living in PA. I will be deeply grateful for any suggestions for research or help you can offer and will be delighted to share all the information I have been able to accumulate regarding the descendants of the Gibson/Huston union.
