Biography
The Jacob Weaver family history has been traced to start with Jacob being
born around the years 1785-90 and is believed to have lived in and around
Rimersburg, Clarion County, Pa.
The graves of this family have been located in the large cemetery on the
outskirts of the village of Rimersburg, Pa. Older Weaver residents have
stated that Jacob Weaver, Sr., owned land in Clarion county and as the
County was organized all residents of that county were ordered to place
their land on record in the county court house. However, since that court
house (a frame building) was built, it burned down two years later and all
records destroyed. No records therefore are available as to land owned by
the said Jacob Weaver, Sr.
Inquiry into the records of deaths buried in the Rimersburg Cemetery give
no results, since the records of burials were not recorded in the early days
of the establishment of the cemetery. However, considerable checking and
inventory of the grave markers therein, has found what seems to be the
graves of Jacob Weaver, Sr., and his wife.
