The purpose of this website is to serve as a central repository for transcriptions and photographs of cemeteries in Pennsylvania. PA-Roots currently houses approximately 250,000 individual internments and are spread across a wide number of websites, DataBoards and databases.

PA-Roots receives donations of transcriptions from time to time for counties that currently aren't hosted on our server. The software enables vistors to register and to post transcriptions without any knowledge of website development.

All of the data is free accessible. You DO NOT need to register to use this website. All of the data is fully accessible without registering. If you would like to contribute a cemetery transcription or photography or to post a message to our Discussion Forum you will need to register to use the submit options. Cemetery Database

In addition to the individual cemetery transcriptions PA-Roots hosts a database that contains select cemetery transcripts from a number of counties across the state of Pennsylvania. There is now over 134,000 names in the database. Please be aware that errors may have occurred during the recording of the cemetery.
