    Other Information

A provision was made in the will of Levi Butler for the care and maintenance of the cemetery for fifty years following his death. He died in the 1850s. At one point it was used as a dumping site for old cars and appliances. They have since been moved outside the borders of the cemetery. It was partially cleaned out of vegetation in 1999 by a youth group. It has since been ignored. Some graves have been dug up by a local colony of woodchucks. Some stones may be buried beneath the dirt piles.
