Fox Township
Squab Hollow
by Sherry Jesberger
SQUAB HOLLOW is another small mining village that does not exist anymore. The depot was
name Cuneo Station for John Cuneo, a farmer in the area. Its name is said to come
from the fact that once there were wild passenger pigeons here. There were plenty of young
pigeons, or squabs, in the area. Now it is just farm land, with a few houses.
