- Looking for any information on a D.J. Mac(Mc)Donald. His full name may be Donald John and he may have come from Mercer County, PA. and worked in wood or coal. He married a BARKER from Mercer County. He did show up on the 1870 and 1880 censes along with other McDonalds.

- Would like to talk with anyone that knew the Eatons that lived for many years in Ridgway. Philip and Rose Eaton had three sons, John Clayton, Richard and Paul. John Clayton and Richard served in WWII. All three sons have passed away. Would like to make contact with Richard's son, James or any of Paul's children. CARTER & Elsie A. CONFER. John's parents were Henry CARTER & Mary Jane Lucinda YOUNG. Elsie's parents were J. Thomas CONFER & Elvira COTTLE. -- I have since learned that Mary Jane m/2 Alexander CUMMINGS & they had a dtr Hannah who m HEWETT. Hannah lived in Clearfield Co but died in 1963 in McKean Co., PA.

- My gr-gr grandfather's bible has this inscription: Mathias B. Kerner's Bible, Bought by his Wife at Centre-ville at the Mission of 1862.
Where was (is) Centreville? Is it the same as the town today called Centre? What was the Centreville Mission, and/or the Mission of 1862?
Mathias Kerner and his wife Catherine Eder Kerner were residents of Ridgway, Elk County, Fox Township.

- I am looking for information on Mary Pantall Wallace. She was the daughter of Elijah Pantall and Sarah Henry and was born in West Virginia. I would like to know the name of her husband and if she had any children.
In the 1920 Census of Elk County she is shown as the head nurse for the Elk County General Hospital. It also shows that she was a widow. Any information would be appreciated.

- Researching the GARDNER surname from Gardner Hill, Pennsylvania. Interested in Oliver GARDNER who married Mary (?). Oliver was born ca. 1807 in New York. Mary was born ca. 1813 in Pennsylvania. They at at least three children Rudolphus b. 1833 who married Sarah BATEMAN; Lanson GARDNER b. ca. 1838 who married an Eliza; Elimira GARDNER b. ca. 1840 who possibly married a Lorenzo BRIGGS. The children were all born in Pennsylvania probably in Gardner Hill. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- I am interested in exchanging information with anyone who is researching the descendants of Sarah E. Shepard b. June 7, 1836 at Driftwood, PA daughter of William Shepard and Susannah Overturf Shepard; m. April 2, 1854 to Enos Hayes b. February 25, 1825 and died Nov. 3, 1903. Sarah died Mar. 2, 1910. They are buried in Ridge Cemetery. Of their children Lilly Pifer seemed to have stayed in the area. There are many more family names connected to this family from Sarah's side. Her Grandfather is Andrew Overturf, one of the earliest settlers in Driftwood. I would appreciate hearing from Hayes researchers also.
