Township Records Gone

Transcribed and submitted by Beverly Carter

Among the things that made food for the fire fiend on Wed. evening was the archives of Huston Township. The old brown book which contained the records from 1865 when Frederick H. Brown was Town Clerk will not be toted to the settlement anymore. Nor to Clearfield to law suits either.

Important to "Press" subscribers. The late fire which destroyed the PRESS office did not burn up the subscription list. Neither did it wipe out the fact that only a very few were paid in advance and that there is more than $600 due the paper on subscription. Now if each subscriber will pay, it will come at a time when it is most sorely needed.
