PORTER posted by Sandra Porter on Thursday, February 8, 2001

Is it possible to secure a birth certificate for a living person if it is not you you are looking for?
For instance, if I wanted a birth certificate of John Smith and I know where he was born, can I procure this?

CHITESTER, CHITTESTER, RITCHEY, WHITE posted by Sherry on Saturday, February 10, 2001

I am attempting to find my great-great grandmother. Unfortunately, I don't know her name. She was married to Daniel S. CHITESTER, after he died (in about 1861) she remarried a gentleman named WHITE, later she married a RITCHEY. Apparently she was a RITCHEY at the time of her death. She and Daniel CHITESTER had 1 child (Daniel S. CHITTESTER born in 1861) and she had other children through her other marriages. There was a grandson named Forrest RITCHEY (born on March 19, 1901) and a great-grandson named Forrest RITCHEY (born October 28, 1922). If you have any information, please e-mail me at lsbennett@csonline.net. I would greatly appreciate it.

LAUDER posted by Luann on Saturday, February 24, 2001

Can anyone share info about when and why Sir Harry LAUDER, the famous Scots musician/entertainer, visited Osceola Mills area about 1920??
My dad as a little boy was introduced to Sir Harry at the home of my g-grandfather John Christopher JAMES (on Elizabeth St. in Osceola). John C. James had carved an elaborate walking stick as a gift for Sir Harry. We wonder -- what brought someone as famous as Sir Harry to the home of John James?
