- KYLER - need info on ancestry of J. (John/Jacob) Henry KYLER (born 6/1/1850) probably in PA, his parents were said to be Polly (or Margaret) and Benjamin KYLER. Family tales said ancestors were early settlers of Clearfield Co. J. Henry Kyler died 12/14/1914 at Cassville, PA, his much younger second wife gave death info (did she really know facts ?? or just guessing).Would like to know if J. Henry had siblings and so forth...Thanks for any clues anyone can give.

- Help! Looking for any information on Robert Jones and/or Anna (Newell) Jones. They lived in Clearfield County @ 1900, where they had at least one child, Helen Blanche Myers. - Searching for ancestors of William J.B. Payne, b. Mar,1852. Married Mary J. Welsh, b. May 1862 or 1863. 1880 & 1900 census has them living in Huston Township. They are buried in Penfield Cemetery. Their son Cecil was my grandfather. I would appreciate any info. Thanks!

- George and Susan DEROUIN came from Canada, settled in Clearfield, PA. They had two sons George Washington DEROUIN and Joseph Baptist DEROUIN. Sons were born 1879 and 1880.

- My grandfather was Elbridge C. Young, born in Clearfield Co., raised in Bell Twp; His parents were David S. & Lucinda Brooks Young. David was born in 1853 in Clearfield Co.; David's parents were Samuel & Sara Wall Young. Samuel was born in 1821 (place unknown) and died in 1853 in Clearfield Co. I am seeking more information on Samuel Young, and any further generations back.

- Looking for information on Annie E. Smith. She married Rev. Frank Pierce Hummel in 1880 in Rainey, Clearfield, PA. Her death certificate says she was born 30 Oct 1874[?] in Clearfield, PA. The death certificate also says her father's name was Frank P. Smith.

- Susan C. JOHNSTON b 1858 m 1 A. S. BEARD. I know of only one child, Warren S. BEARD b 1879. Seeking information on them (full name of A. S.?) and their descendents. After the death of A. S. Beard Susan married a __?_ WEAVER (according to her mother's obituary). She was living "near DuBois" in 1914. Seeking any information on her children to this second marriage, their descendents.

I beleive that my Uncle did all of this research but he is gone and this has come down to me. I know that in the early fifties there was still Potters living in PA and The area was around Grassflats, which I can't find on the map. The one Person that I know anything about on this list is Burnice or Victor Burnice and he would be my great grand father he moved to MN in1879. He married Mary A. Rinehart and she was born ub Center County PA Nov 25, 1840 Married Burnice PotterFeb 25, 1871. They had three children born in PA Mary Lillian 5/30/1872, Margaret Viola 7/22/1874 and John Calvin 4/29/1877 and I know that he was born at Grassflats in Center Co. I would like any info that anyone can give me on any of thes people.

During some of my "surfing" I found a listing in the Clearfield County cemetary listings for a Madalyn Shannon Dudley (1902-1988) buried in St. Agnes Cemetary, in Morris township. - Hartley Family II/ Durham Co, Eng/ Gearhartville Precinct, Decatur Twp, PA/ 1832-1910. John W. Hartley, b. Summerhouse, Durham Co, Eng (1832-1903) and his wife, Ann WILSON (1835-1906), had 7 children: Mary Ann (m. Joseph Stockley) William Edward (1859-1902), Thomas H. (1864- ?), Sarah J. (1865-?), John (1872-bef 1950), Elizabeth (1869-?), and Robert Wilson (1871-1922). I have photographed the tombstone for Robert W(ilson) Hartley and Edith (FRAGGATT) at Philipsburg. In 1900 US census, William Hartley and his married sons, John and Robert, were all living in Gearhartville Precinct, Decatur Twp.

- Kathleen Hallager married Frank Eltringham circa 1917 in DuBois, Clearfield Co. They had a daughter named Kathleen V. Eltringham on 4-11-1918. Kathleen H. died before 1920. Is anyone familiar with either of these women? They were my maternal grandfather's first wife and daughter. Thanks.

- At one time, Clearfield Co. was or included Elk and later Cameron County. I am still trying to find out if the Amos Mix who settled Mix Run, Cameron Co. in 1814, was married to Clarinda Barnes or Anna Yale. Secondly, I am looking for birth information for his children James and Elizabeth (Betsey) who were allegedly born in New York State. James shows his birthplace as NY in the Federal Census of 1860 for Elk County, Gibson Township. In 1850, he left his birthplace was blank. Any and all help would be appreciated.

- My grandmother was Augustine Ellen Picard, daughter of Louis Picard and Mary Louise Rougeux; she was married to Charles J. Mignot. They had 5 children: Jesse, Lawrence, Agusta Emma, Bessie, and Anna Estelle, my mother. I have pretty complete info on the Mignot family, but hardly anything on the Picards. - My Grandmother MARY BOYLE was born Dec 9 1880 in Osceola, Clearfield Co the daughter of AMBROSE W and MITILDA (MAYS) BOYLE. Sometime after her birth the family moved to Patton. Is there someone that can check for a record. Also what township would Osceola be in? Is Osceola and Osceola Mills the same place??
