HOLLOPETER, ZILIOX posted by Dawnette Thompson on Thursday, October 21, 1999

Were "Troutville Lutheran" and "Salem Lutheran" alternate names for the same cemetery in Clearfield Co.? According to the cemetery records at the Clearfield Co. GenWeb site, Anne (Ziliox) Hollopeter is buried in Salem Lutheran Cem., Brady Twp. There is a Samuel Hollopeter, there as well, whose dates match those I have for Anne's son Samuel McKinley Hollopeter. However, the grandson of Anne (Ziliox) Hollopeter says that both Anne and Samuel McKinley Hollopeter are buried in TROUTVILLE Lutheran Cemetery and that Troutville and Salem are different towns on different highways. The GNIS shows a Salem Cemetery, but no Troutville Cemetery. HELP!.

SEBRING posted by James Sebring on Saturday, October 30, 1999

I'm trying to identify the location and burials of a small cemetary in Burnside Twsp., Clearfield County, PA. I recall (from about 55 years ago) a cemetary located on what was then Somerville's farm. This farm was located about a mile North of Cherry Tree at the intersection of US219 and SR ?? (Ibelieve it's called Sylvis Road, and leads to East Ridge) The cemetary was about 250 yards West of the highway in a copse. The cemetery was not being maintained and was very small; perhaps 10-15 graves. I'm desparately trying to locate the burial site of my great-grandfather and this may be my last chance. If anyone has knowledge or a slight suspicion, that this cemetery exists at the site I'm remembering, please contact me ASAP! Thanking you in advance,
