Nathan's ancestors make quite a patchwork of individuals. His ancestor's include John Zipfel who immigrated from Germany in the 1850's. He is credited as the first person to ship a load of lumber out on the railroad in Brookville Pennsylvania. Others of Nathan's family include members of the Belgium immigration to Pennsylvania, and others were among the Scotch-Irish immigrants.
Nate began researching his family about 30 years ago. He was very fortunate that many of his grandparent's siblings were still living that had kept good records of the family.
