Did Job(e) VERNON die and is buried in Bedford Co., PA? Is Isabell MILLER VERNON buried in Bedford Co. PA.? They had at least one child, a son, Nathaniel VERNON, b. ca. 1770, Bedford Co., PA? Any records of his birth, christening? A marriage? children? On 25 Feb. 1823, Nathaniel VERNON was in Mercer Co., PA., and was named as te son of Jobe VERNON and his heir and Nathaniel was to effect delivery of warrants for bounty lands. Information on Nathaniel VERNON and his family if any, is sorely needed! Wife? Because the 1820 Census for PA records two men with the same name, but different spellings, I know they lived in Bedford County. Can somebody give me a lead for further family research? Henry Bettz, Bedford 013 Colerain Henry Betz, Bedford 057 Belfast There are also 2- Christian Betz men listed in the same census and 3- John Betz men listed. Does anyone have any genealogical information on any of these men. I'd appreciate hearing from somebody who does.

My Grandmother, susannah O'DONNELL, was born in Bedford County, Pa. March 10, 1893 to james O'DONNELL, b Apr. 1829 and susan MILLER, born Mar. 1864. james O'DONNELL immigrated to America in 1859 from Ireland. This couple had 4 other children. They are: mary a. O'DONNELL, b Mar. 1885, joseph O'DONNELL, b Jan. 1887, rose O'DONNELL, b ca 1889, and james thomas O'DONNELL, b 15 July 1896. I first find this family living in Latrobe, Westmoreland Co., Pa in the 1900 census. Does anyone have any information on this family when they lived in Bedford County? I will share information with anyone interested.

philip PERDEW/PERDUE/PURDUE b.abt 1805 in PA. Married Amy Madison b abt 1813 MD? Moved to Ohio and is on the 1830 Ohio census with children Horas, Nancy,Mary, Jackson,Emily. I believe his father may be a William PERDUE who came to Ohio from PA abt mid 1800's. I have not been able to find anything but a census record that is too early to connect my ancestor, who I believe was Philip's son.

Their son, Benjamin HARTMAN (b. 11 Jan 1788), married Judith Leiter in Washington Co., MD on 6 Apr 1811. I am interested in information on Georg, Elizabeth, and Benjamin from 1796 onward. Christian KEGEREIS (b. 3 Oct 1753 in Philadelphia, PA; d. 13 Apr 1789 in Lancaster Co., PA) lived in the York Co., PA area during the Rev War. A Jacob KAGARISE, most likely his son, (b. 31 Jan 1789, d. 27 Apr 1857, Bedford Co., PA) was said to have come from Franklin Co., PA. Jacob married Barbara BURGER on 5 Feb 1811, perhaps in Washington Co., MD. I am interest in information on all three. I would be delighted to share other information on their ancestors/descendants. They immigrated to US 1775. To that part of Bedford Co that became Somerset county, at least by 1791, if not earlier. Jacob married Mary Connoly in Milford Twp, (then) Bedford Co (now Somerset) Co in 1791. Was in Turkeyfoot Twp, Somerset Co in 1800 census. Believe Jacob left for PA after that time, but folks may have stayed in Somerset County. It is possible that Jacob had siblings, cousins, uncles, nieces, nephews in the area. Jacob came to US as Jacob Vatter, married as Jacob Fether, and buried as Jacob Feather.We are very interested in tieing into Jacob's wife's family... likely from Somerset County: Connoly.

I have traced my genealogy back to one Frederick Cupp born Aug.6,1778; d.Aug.1869. He was born and lived most of his adult life in Somerset County, Pennsylvania then moved late in life to Corning, Iowa and died there. His descendant, my g-grandfather Theodore G. Cupp (b.Nov.16,1865; d.May 15,1949) moved to Wheeling, West Virginia in 1916 ... I was born there. Dennis Betts Researching the BETZ line. I have a Susanna BETZ born 1796 in Allegany Co. MD. Father was Christian BETZ who married a Christiana. Seeking info re surname MOBUS. Some of this family resided in Broad Top Twp in NE Bedford County. Some MOBUS relocated to Ellerslie, MD. While I know several resided in Bedford Co., have been unable to find any cemetery or other local Bedford Co. records to date. Joseph LASSECKI (spelling various, LASESCKY)1862, spouse Francesca MEINHOLTZ from Johnstown, Pa. they had 8 children. My grandmother was 1 yrs old at the time of the Johnstown flood and her mother Francesca carried her on her shoulder through the water to safety. My grandmother Marie Veronica LASSECKI and 6 other children Clara 1896, John, Marie Anna etc. I can't find Francesca MEINHOLTZ, or any the children that died. I checked the 1900 census for Conemaugh Twp, Daiseytown and found Joseph LASSECKI living with 3 children Clara, Mary (Marie my grandmother) and John in Daisytown, Borough, PA. I wrote to St. Joseph's catholic Church in Johnstown, they gave me a list of all the names. They have no marriage date or death dates for any of them only birth dates. I do know they were from Germany but, where in Germany? I have been searching for 4 years now and have really hit a brick wall. Can someone please help me get over this wall. Thanks, these are my great grandparents and I can't get any further. There are also relatives living there by the name Frank GROSS and his family.
