I also have SEIBERT/SEUBERT family back to 1735 in America and back to late 16th century in Kusel, Palatinate. If you have trouble with my Email (Ihave been experiencing some difficulties lately) at wseibert@erinet.com or WFSEIBERT@prodigy.net you can use snail mail at Wayne F. Her father ____ Smith was a tavern owner. Jonathan and Rebecca were wed by Rev. Fishburn. Jonathan and Rebecca had 4 children b. in Bedford: Ada, Daniel, Theodicia, John Thomas. Their daughter Sophia/Cethia was b. in Harrisburg or Bedford 22 Jan 1851. Ada was b. 1845-1855 and d. 1863-1873. Daniel was b. 1845-1855 and d. 1850-1860. A Jonathan Pepples, age 22, laborer, b. PA and his wife, Rebecca, age 20, b. PA were in the 1850 census, residing in Colerain Twp., Bedford. In addition to the age discrepancies, this Jonathan was said to have been born in PA not MD. My Pepple family probably moved to Mt. Pleasant, IA abt 1857. My query is: are there any records of tavern owners and preachers which would shed further light on where in Bedford Co. Jonathan and Rebecca lived. I could not find them in the land records. Are there any death records involving Ada or Daniel?

I am looking for information on the HOWARD family. Specifically the family from Westmoreland County in the Fairfield Township area. I have been able to find a Henry HOWARD who first showed up on the 1840 census at 40 years old and had a wife named Mary, 2 years younger. They had 4 children, Henry, James, Samuel and Mary who died at 2. I traced them all the way to 1860, but that is as far as the census goes. Also a John Howard appeared in 1870. He was 41, and had a wife named Catherine 39 with 3 children, John, Henry, and Lizzie. One of these was the decendent of my husbands great grandfather. But I can't make the connection until I can find them after 1870.
