Hershberger Farm Family Cemetery

This cemetery is located on the east side of a hill, which is situated on the west side of Rt. 266 (Snake Spring Valley Rd.) on the property of Mr. Bernard Hershberger, Everett, Snake Spring Twp., Bedford Co., Pa.

The cemetery is rectangular in shape, about 203’x163’, enclosed by a wire fence with two gates. The cemetery is still in use and well-maintained.

Access to the cemetery is by farm roadway, which extends westward from Rt. No. 266 between the farm house and the barn, through a large vehicle gate, across the Snakespring Valley Run and, winding upward, to a row of trees, then turning left and proceeding southward toward the cemetery plot. The headstones are in rows, from north to south.

Two graves with footstones were found had no headstones: M S and D R B 1938-1938. There were three graves marked with smooth stones and one marked with a fieldstone.

(For burials in the cemetery, see Cemetery Records database.)
