As to what worldly estate it has pleased God to invest me with, I dispose of the same as follows: to my beloved wife Margaret I give and bequeath two hundred in money, one horse and two cows to be left on the farm and fed for her increase or stock that may be raised from said cows to belong to them who keeps the cow. She to have the room in the northwest corner downstairs with the privilege of the house during her natural life and to have her support of said farm during her life.

To my son James to whom I have given fifteen hundred dollars I bequeath fifty dollars. To my daughter Jane Armstrong I bequeath six hundred dollars to be paid to her as hereinafter directed. To my son Robert Hindman I give and bequeath the farm on which we live containing ninety-five acres and allowance which farm adjoins land of James Hindman Baker Richey & that one horse and one cow on the condition hereinafter mentioned. To my daughter Mary Ellen Huston I give and bequeath five hundred dollars to be paid her as hereinafter directed. To my son Joseph Armstrong I give and bequeath the farm I bought from James Noble containing eighty-six acres and allowance, adjoining lands of Harvey Noble, heirs of Wm. Noble and the part here bequeathed to my son Robert on the condition hereinafter mentioned. To my daughter Margaret I bequeath one horse & one cow and one thousand dollars to be paid as hereinafter mentioned, she to have her living of the above bequeathed farm as long as she remains single. The balance of my stock and the farming utensils I direct that they be equally divided between my sons Robert and Joseph Armstrong. Whatever money I may have at the time of my decease I direct that it be used to pay the foregoing bequests to my daughters the oldest first & so on as far as it goes and the balance of said bequest to be paid equally by my sons Robert & Joseph Armstrong as soon as they can conveniently. If Magie is not paid in full in five years after my decease she to have interest from that time but no interest until then.
