I am seeking information on Samuel Mansfield. He was born in Westmoreland Co. PA June 12, 1804, died August 13, 1880 in Armstrong County and buried in Bethel Cemetery. He wed Elizabeth Ashbaugh and Mary Highfield, both of whom are also buried at Bethel. Samuel left fifteen children. Hopefully, someone knows more about him and wife Elizabeth!.

Henry Livingston died before 1860. Ann was born @1811. The family was listed in the 1860 census in Madison Township, Clarion County. In 1870, some of the family is listed in Armstrong County (Pine and Valley Townships). Theodore and some of his brothers fought in the Civil War. Would appreciate any information regarding this family..

Looking for origins of James Clark Altman. He was married to Catharine Goldinger and their children were Joseph H.,Mary,Eliza,James E.,William M., and Chile G. They lived, for a while at least,in Worthington, and were members of Worthington Lutheran Church in Armstrong County. A David Altman was also connected with the family. James' obituary mentioned 3 surviving brothers: Oscar Altman of Mckeesport, Samuel Altman of Boggsville, and Nelson Altman of Missouri. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!.

Michael MCREA m. Jane HAZLETT (b. abt 1828) on 27 Nov 1843 at St. Patrick's Church, Sugarcreek Twp., Armstrong Co., PA (per Souvenir Book of St. Patrick's, 1906). According to oral family history, he died of Yellow Fever in 1849 while enroute to the California Gold Rush. Jane then m. Jacob MESSICK abt 1853 and moved to Genesee Co., MI in 1869 with their daughters and Michael's youngest daughter, Jennie MCREA. Jennie has known descendants in Flint, MI area. Would appreciate any info on Michael's parents.

Can't be sure if there is a connection or not, but, my great-grandmother's name was Anna Bittinger. She was the daughter of Melinda Mcafoose and William Bittinger. Melinda Mcafoose was the sister of Sadie Mcafoose and the daughter of Katherine (possible partial name) Mcafoose. Sadie Mcafoose married Charles Ellenberger. They were from the Kittaning area (Rural Valley, Echo)..

He married Malinda NEELY, dau. of John & Ann NEELY (born Ireland, lived Derry Twp., Westmoreland Co.), on 30 Oct. 1855 in Westmoreland Co. Thomas and Malinda DORAN lived in Blairsville (Indiana Co.), Loyalhanna Twp. & Latrobe (Westmoreland Co.), and Duquesne (Allegheny Co.). He died in Duquesne, and the death certificate gave his parents as John DORN and Catherine POWEL. Was Thomas A. DORAN related to Hugh DORAN of S. Buffalo Twp., Armstrong Co. (born Ireland and naturalized in 1844)?.
