DANIEL RAYMOND was born in Italy in 1887 and was brought to America by his parents. He obtained his education in the public schools of Leechburg and afterward assisted his father. When he first left home he was employed for three years in the Pittsburgh Shovel Works, and then worked for 1 year in the steel mill at Leechburg, afterward for three years being employed in a billiard hall. At the end of that time he learned the barber's trade and since then has given his entire time to his patrons, having a first class well appointed shop on Market street, Leechburg.

Mr. Raymond married Rosa Smith, daughter of Andrew Smith. Like his father he is a republican, the former having been naturalized and made an American in 1899 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
