PA-Roots began in March 1998 by Alice Gayley and Nathan Zipfel. It was created to serve our need to host the various genealogy projects that we were involved with at the time. Our purpose was to be the premier site for on-line resources for Pennsylvania Genealogy. We are accomplishing that by providing free web space to various Pennsylvania county projects.
PA-Roots continues to grow as we seek to make available the best resources to assist researchers. The DataBoards contain over 457,000 records.
